FRIDAY FUN FLASH POLL!!

Which of these words do you prefer to use to describe debris?

A) Flotsam
B) Jetsam

A. Flotsam is far superior to 'jetsam' since 'flotsam' can be used to describe and offend the destitute and homeless. They would have to be pretty well-educated homeless, but they'd be offended nonetheless. (And, before you say it, no, I'm not well-educated, I just know how to use Microsoft Word's dictionary function.)

B. jetsam:The part of a ship's equipment or cargo that is thrown overboard to lighten the load in a storm.
